Characteristics and functions of our sectional door openers


We offer you systems with two different shafts. Both our economical universal solution, the 25.4 mm standard hollow shaft, as well as the multi-toothed hollow shaft are premium solutions.

Standard hollow shaft 25.4 mm: Universal and cost-effective

Our standard 25.4 mm hollow shaft is the compact and cost-effective universal solution for most doors and gates. The operator can simply be fitted onto the spring shaft of the gate or door. The hollow gear shaft of the opener is made of steel.

Splined hollow shaft: The solution for retrofits

For STA 1 and STA 1 FC/I: The splined hollow shaft is the optional solution for retrofits. With the various shaft adapters, one opener fits a variety of spring shafts. Thus, this system minimizes inventory stock and offers the highest flexibility. The shaft adapters are made of aluminum. This prevents them from rusting in place. For the splined hollow shaft, existing adapters from the Dynamic xs. system can also continue to be used.

Power and voltage variants

Our door and gate openers always feature a compatible solution.

Door/gate opener 400 V, 3-phase

In a nutshell: strong as an ox. This makes a 3-phase 400 V motor the ideal solution for big, heavy doors and gates.

Door/gate opener 230 V, single-phase

STA 1 and STAC 1: No heavy-duty power supply available? No problem. With its single-phase 230 V motor, this opener does not require heavy-duty current. It is the ideal solutions for doors with smaller surfaces or gates with a low frequency of use, i.e. few gate cycles.

Door/gate opener 230 V, single-phase with frequency converter

STA 1 FC/I and STAI 1: These openers are more powerful than the existing power supply would make them appear. The secret here is the frequency converter. It generates powerful 3-phase voltage and current where only 230 V is available. This makes motor powerful enough to move large, heavy gates. It runs at double speed, yet still features soft start and soft stop functions, which are gentle on the door or gate. We offer it exclusively in combination with our external CS 320 "Comfort" controller.


CS 320

The CS 320 is our convenient external controller that leaves nothing to be desired. It features four output relays for connecting additional functions. These may be used e.g. for signal lights, traffic lights, electric gate locks or the end position signal. External elements are optionally supplied with a voltage of 24 V or 230 V. Accessories are wired directly to the controller. A Multi-Bit wireless antenna can be plugged directly into a slot in the CS 320 without any wiring.

CS 255 AC

The CS 255 AC is our compact basic controller in a mini housing or integrated in the opener, and which includes all features for safe operation. With dead man's control as standard. This function can be upgraded to a self-hold by installing safety components. Included is an output relay for connecting an additional function, for example for a signal light. External elements are supplied by the CS 255 AC with a voltage of 24 V. Multi-Bit and bi-linked wireless options are possible with the CS 255 AC, and the slot for the wireless antenna is already included.

Expand as required

Both controllers can be expanded via MS bus modules, e.g. for two-way traffic control or with a safety device that prevents objects getting pulled in.

Even more safety

Safety features such as a light barrier or a closing edge safety device can be easily connected using the provided terminals.

Service Life

When choosing the right door opener, decisive factors include not only its strength, also the stress it can take, i.e. its service life. Hence, we offer you solutions for doors and gates with average usage, as well as for those with a high frequency of use with 400 V openers.


60 % duty cycle: Normal duty cycle for 400 V openers

Designed for doors/gates with an average opening frequency. This corresponds to a maximum of 20 gate/door cycles* per hour.

80 % duty cycle: Elevated duty cycle for 400 V openers

STA 1, STA 1 FC/I and STAI 1: Designed for gates and doors with a high intensity of use. This corresponds to a maximum of 30 gate/door cycles* per hour.

25 % duty cycle: Normal duty cycle for 230 V openers

Designed for doors/gates with a low opening frequency. This corresponds to a maximum of 8 gate/door cycles* per hour.


* One cycle corresponds to opening and closing once.

Emergency operation

Emergency operation options ensure safety. They ensure that a gate or door can be opened and closed even during a power outage.

Emergency operation of spring-balanced doors and gates (KE, E/KE)

KE (emergency hand chains) provide standard emergency operation for openers with a 25.4 mm standard hollow shaft. The emergency hand chain enables convenient operation of the door/gate from the ground.

E/KE (emergency hand chains with maintenance release) are the most convenient and best solution. The E/KE is the standard emergency operation option for openers with a splined hollow shaft. The emergency hand chain enables convenient operation of the door/gate from the ground. At the same time, the maintenance release enables fast and inexpensive servicing because there is no need for time-consuming disassembly of the motor or detachment of the opener shaft from the door/gate shaft.

Emergency operation of springless doors and  roller shutters

KE (Emergency hand chain): The emergency hand chain can be ordered as an alternative for springless doors and roller shutters. It allows for convenient operation of the door/gate from the ground in the event of a power failure.

KU (Emergency hand crank): The emergency hand crank provides standard emergency operation for springless doors and roller shutters. The crank is attached directly to the opener to save space. If desired, the opener can be retrofitted for emergency operation from crank to chain.

Emergency operation of rail-guided, spring-balanced doors and gates

The emergency operation and unlocking takes place directly on the guide carriage of the opener rail, ensuring safety. The door or gate is separated from the opener with a single action via a pull loop. This allows the door/gate to be moved even when there is no power.

Digital limit stop

The absolute encoder guarantees precise limit switching. With the digital limit switch, the end position can not only be conveniently set on the controller, it also ensures that it is always adhered to precisely.

Silent version

For STA 1 and STAI 1: Quiet, compact, smooth-running.  The "S" stands for "silent". This opener with single-phase 230 V motor operates particularly smoothly and quietly thanks to its noise-optimized motor winding package.

STAI 1: Rail guided mounting

The rail guided mounting of the STAI 1 is the solution when there is no space for the classic shaft mounting.  The opener is mounted at the end of a robust rail, on which it drives a carriage via a roller chain. This carriage is connected to the gate or door. This makes the opener powerful enough to move large, heavy gates and doors.

SA: Integrated safety gear

The safety gear of the SA series equates to added safety. In an emergency, it prevents the door or gate from falling down. It is maintenance-free and independent of position and speed. In plain English, this means: No matter the position in which the motor is mounted, the safety gear works reliably. It also does this regardless of the output speed; our safety gear is compatible.
